I'm Veeraj Panchal.

From algorithms to intelligent systems.

I follow the logic, question the assumptions, and build what survives both.

About

Not a resume — a working description of how I approach software.

What I build

Systems that sit close to a real, specific problem — reconciliation engines, grievance workflows, small utilities that remove one recurring annoyance.

How I think

I start from the pain point, not the tech stack. Explainability and correctness first, then how much friction the system removes from someone's day.

What I'm exploring

AI/ML applied to structured problems like financial reconciliation, full-stack system design, and automation — plus packaging and performance.

Approach

01

Problem framing

Starting from the actual friction — messy files, fragmented workflows — before touching a stack.

02

System design

Structuring the pieces so the system stays explainable as it grows, not just fast to demo.

03

Iteration

Shipping a working version, then rebuilding the parts that don't hold up — like ReconAI's matching engine.

02

Featured Engineering

The systems I've put the most thought into — from problem framing to the code that ships.

Featured Engineering

ReconAI

Reconciles bank, Tally and ledger files through a structured, explainable matching workflow.

PythonDjangoPandasExcel / XLSXSQLite
Problem & approach

Problem

Financial reconciliation usually means comparing records from systems whose columns, formats, and naming conventions don't line up. Done by hand, it's repetitive, error-prone, and doesn't scale past a handful of accounts.

Approach

ReconAI ingests heterogeneous transaction files, interprets their schemas, maps related fields to a common structure, and runs reconciliation while keeping every match and exception explainable rather than a black box.

Featured Engineering

App Grievance System

Turns student grievances into a trackable workflow from submission through resolution.

Next.jsTypeScriptReactPrisma
Problem & approach

Problem

Students often have no structured way to submit, track, or follow up on grievances, so issues get lost across chats, emails, and hallway conversations.

Approach

A full-stack web application that turns grievance submission and management into a structured, trackable digital workflow from intake to resolution.

03

AI / ML

Projects where intelligence meets practical systems.

ReconAI → Buildathon Evolution
AI / ML

ReconAI — Buildathon

A focused ReconAI iteration for mapping and matching data across five financial source types.

PythonDjango
Problem & approach

Problem

The core ReconAI engine needed to prove itself against a wider, messier set of real-world sources under competition constraints and a tight build window.

Approach

A focused rebuild of the reconciliation pipeline handling Bank, Tally, ERP, UPI, and Payment Gateway sources, with deterministic, explainable matching and exception identification across all of them.

AI / ML · Team Project

IPD Prototype

A collaborative prototype with separate frontend and backend components.

Stack details pending verification from the repository
Problem & approach

Problem

Team project context and requirements are documented in the repository rather than summarized publicly.

Approach

Built collaboratively with a separated backend and frontend architecture. See the repository for full implementation detail.

Utility Lab

Small systems built to remove everyday friction.

Utility Lab

Attendance Generator

Converts structured attendance data into a formatted document.

Python
Problem & approach

Problem

Preparing attendance or leave documentation by hand means repetitive data entry and formatting for something that should take seconds.

Approach

A lightweight Python utility that converts structured attendance and leave information directly into a formatted digital document.

Utility Lab

Flashcard Reviser

A lightweight flashcard tool for quick, repeatable active recall.

TypeScript
Problem & approach

Problem

Revision slows down when study material isn't organized into a quick, repeatable recall workflow.

Approach

A browser-based flashcard revision tool designed around rapid review cycles and spaced repetition of material.

Utility Lab

Simple File Transfer

A small utility for direct local file transfer.

Repository link pending re-verification — stack not yet confirmed
Problem & approach

Problem

Moving files locally often ends up routed through a cloud service or third-party platform for what should be a direct transfer.

Approach

A minimal file-transfer utility focused on moving files directly, without an external service in the loop.

Utility Lab

LifeOS File Transfer

An experiment exploring a broader personal-systems use for file transfer.

Repository link pending re-verification — stack not yet confirmed
Problem & approach

Problem

An open experiment in extending simple file movement into a broader personal-systems context.

Approach

A utility/system experiment building on the same direct-transfer approach. Full scope documented in the repository.

Have a problem worth building?

If it’s a messy dataset, a workflow nobody enjoys, or a system that needs to be designed rather than duct-taped — I’d like to hear about it.
